First time I've seen that PSA PP - thanks for posting!
'I prefer my Baxter one ' You go girl!!
Know this is a John on YouTube (II) thread (er, um, different John, still yt, no? ), but my all time favourite example of sport rivalry gone mad is John Bishop's comedy bit from John Bishop's Britain. Forgive my re-post from way back. If you haven't seen it, I challenge you not to laugh. Even after seeing it many times, it still makes me laugh.

'I'm from Liverpool and my wife's from Manchester so my kid's mixed race' - that made me laugh so much Thanks imaof4. Forget religion, if an Evertonian married a Liverpool supporter it was considered a 'mixed marriage' - I know, I'm in one
PP - not seen the Wateraid video - is this new? Didn't John do an advert with Rupert Graves for clean water a few years back?

Following John-related tweets really pays off! He appears in stills at the beginning of this video from 1989 (light-brown jacket, jeans, layered of course ).
Sitting here, doing a little Googling, and discovered that an "HD" version of Matt Berry's So Low video has recently been posted (4 days ago) to the Tube. The quality is amazing, but it looks stretched. Here's a cap:

The one and only John Simm Society posted a great scene from John's ep of The Bill. If you get a chance, watch this, then watch Silver's interview in Tue£day. What a difference 15 years make!

Thanks for these, PP -- I've never seen anything from The Bill, but as edzel2 said in a post on another thread today, "it's all quality stuff."
In the second clip -- I hadn't seen Tue£day before either -- I was distracted by the sight of other familiar faces: Dylan Brown (from the Crucible production of Hamlet) and the actor who played Harry Woolf in LOM, S2E2.
ETA - did anyone else, hearing the references in the first clip to "chisel", think "SCREWDRIVER!" ?

Don't forget, Dylan was also in Devilwood (both Devilwood and Tue£day were written and directed by Sacha Bennett).

Thanks for posting these, PP - saw them on TRA earlier (I get alerts when anyone posts in that thread or I'd have probably seen it here first
I was quite startled to realise that as regular viewers of The Bill back in the day, I would most likely have seen John's episode when it aired - ditto with his 'Cracker' Episode 'Best Boys'.... makes me feel old because my son -who wasn't quite born then, is now 18.... !
It's always lovely to see John's earlier performances; to realise that yes, he's always been that good at what he does...

For me it was the opposite - I was reminded of this ep of The Bill when I watched Exile! I think I mentioned it somewhere on the board at the time, so sorry if I'm repeating myself. It's so funny how one single word can get 'attached' to a specific memory like this.

I knew John had been on The Bill and have seen stills from it, but this is the first time I've seen a clip!! Terrific find PP and loved how you presented it with the clip from Tue£day!
Description of The Bill clip has it's parallel with Tue£day as well...
