I always think it's an honour to be nominated and that winning itself is pretty arbitrary. Although, if I was the one nominated for something, I'd definitely want to win! |

This! My thoughts exactly.

Quote from the Press and Journal (an Aberdeen newspaper):
He’s all smiles and endearing embarrassment over the promotional trailers he shot with glitzy photographer David LaChapelle for Sky1 series Mad Dogs.
“Yeah, I wasn’t keen on the adverts, but you can’t have everything,” he said.

Mad Dogs came in the post today at last. I just finished the first episode. I am purposely not reading the rest of this thread until I've seen the rest of the first series.
Anyway, so far, so good. I am intrigued. Of course, Baxter is my favorite character, followed by Quinn. Sorry Alvo is apparently dead, but I can't say that I think I'll miss him.
The region-free dvd player was indeed a good investment.

I have also finished watching series 1. The pilot episode was a bit slow but not a boring way.You are pretty sure something will go wrong ( not just because you have seen the footages of the guys in the beginning) I mean scene by scene, the writers built the tension. We only see POV of the guys so we're clueless who's telling the truth. Their friends,Alvo...He was pretty messed up if we hadn't seen he was clearly murdered,I would have thought he was behind all of this! Also that woman detective. For a moment,I thought Baxter would believe in her and tell everything.I feel weird by saying this but I was glad to see she's gone at the end of the finale. Overall,I really enjoyed it.Besides J.Simm, all the other actors were amazing.I'm now looking forward to seeing series 2
and jinxed, now I know where is your icon from
