This is a Monastic Productions show (the creators of Life on Mars) and I'm enjoying it a lot. John Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films) is kind of nice in a too-handsome but buff way, and the little girl playing his daughter will go far, I think, she's great! It's a bit 'spot the person who has worked with John/been in some of my favourite shows - and I just realised I dint have time to name them all right now, lol! But the taxi driver from Sherlock, Agatha Christie from DWho s4, and the female officer in Study in Pink whom Sherlock picked up was having an affair with the pathologist/coroner (?) ... Thanks to Jinxed for putting me straight because I thought it was Being Hunan's Leonora Critchlow (Annie the ghost!)...

Anyway, it's good. There's almost too much good stuff on the telly at the moment!!

I think it got off to a good start although I've yet to catch up with part two. Don't know if I can cope without the sneering Lucius Malfoy face that I've been used to seeing though.

I agree it's either feast or famine on TV these days.

He's a key witness. So could you treat him like a person, Phyllis. D'you remember "people"? You used to be one!

I'm really enjoying Case Histories too. Although I don't care much for Isaac's acting style - perhaps his looks get in the way. All the shirtless scenes are just too much for me, maybe because I don't find him even remotely attractive... For some reason I keep imagining Clive Owen in the role... The daughter is a gem, though! Wasn't she David Tennant's youngest child in 'Single Father'? She's both cute and very good! When she bursts out with what she's been up to with her dad to her mum I laugh out loud every time. :) I think the writing is very good - great adaptation!

Aha! We are just about to get three episodes of this series, starting tonight on our local Public Broadcasting System (PBS) station. I'll keep an eye out for the characters from Dr. Who and Sherlock that edzel2 pointed out! "Shirtless scenes" -- another reason to watch? ;D
