God, I just love Edinburgh, especially when the fringe festival is on!
Haven't been for a few years but was thinking of going again next year.
Maybe we can persuade John it's a good idea eh?

My home city!! Let me know if you decide to visit and we will organise a 'Team Simm' meet!!! Ok, it will probably just be us two, maybe Saxon's Girl,and anyone else who lives near Edinburgh, but hey, so what!!!

I was lucky enough to see Elling a few weekends ago on its run in the Trafalgar Studios in London. I cant believe how different to any roles that John has played before he actually was, he is a very versatile actor, a million miles away from Danny Kavanagh in The Lakes. ( which is one of my top favourites of John's plus Life On Mars!)

I even managed to get John's autograph after the show. Was a pleasure to go to the show, and I would highly recommend the show to anyone who is a fan of John's.

How big is the Trafalgar Studios theatre? I know its not huge but that its bigger than the box room that was the Bush Theatre. Its slightly unnerving when you can see that he's looking at you between lines, but very squeeful

I always seem to end up in people's sight lines. I went to see QI filming and had Jeremy Clarkson and Alan Davies staring at us loads- very offputting!

I'm going to see Elling on October 6th with the hubby, and i can't wait!!! Only in row N, so not the greatest of seats, but still should be amazingto see John in the flesh

I'm actually going to Edinburgh for a week starting next Monday (staying with my sister for a wee holiday) and the Fringe'll be on...when I'm in the town I'll be imagining going to see Elling there (maybe one day, eh?)
