If anyone has been fortunate enough to see Elling, starring John, please let us know here. You can even post a review if you want to. It would give us folk who havent seen it a wee bit of an idea what it is like.

I saw it at the Bush Theatre. The atmosphere was amazing, having him perform 1 metre in front of you (we had to move our feet every time they came past). His adopted mannerisms were so convincing as a rather neurotic Elling, while Adrian Bower and the rest of the cast were great too.

I'm hoping to see it again on its West End run

Great stuff!! Would you say it was easy to accept him in this role, or did you see him as Sam Tyler?? My thought would be that he is such a convincing actor that you would forget him in all the other roles and that he is simply the character he is playing at that time.

Elling is soooo far removed from Sam that its impossible to ever believe its the same man doing it. The accent he puts on is so bizarre but amazngly good. Elling is such a nervous man- so unlike Sam

I'd love to see that, I'm so far away from London though! :( It sounds fantastic though and that's the mark of a brilliant actor when you forget he's actually playing a part! :D

Some photos taken of the photos outside the theatre in London (some guy walked past and said 'John Simm is a w****r'. Idiot!)

I'm going to get my tickets soon once I decide a good date to go. It won't be the same as sitting front row right on the stage with him collapsing nearly on your feet though :(

I took my two teenage daughters to see Elling last Wednesday.

We laughed so much. I was in tears.

When you see John for the first time, you think, OK there is John Simm. But five minutes later, John Simm has gone!

The character of Elling is so well done that John seems to physically morph into Elling before your eyes.

We were in the front row too. And yes, John does fall at your feet! At first we were quite uncomfortable being so close to the stage, but after a while, you get lost in the whole thing and forget where you are. I can only compare it to getting lost in a really great film or a great book.

We have booked again because I want my husband to see it. It is one of the best things that I have seen at the theatre.

John and Adrian were interviewed for the six o'clock news on Friday, and they were asked if they would like to do a film version if they were asked to, both Adrian and John said they would love to.

I think it would be a great idea.
