According to IMDB Stephen Graham didn't get a part after all - hey ho! It would be interesting to see what parts John didn't get that he auditioned for. I should think now he wouldn't have to audition for much.

Didn't he have to audition for Sexby?

Oh yes, he did. And he seemed proud of it, too, that he had to fight for the part and that he won. :-)

I'd be only interested in Magical Mystery Tour strictly for historical purposes. For a band that managed to be successful with almost every endevour (with the right people helping them), they certainly missed the mark with this one. Oh, and Apple But hat's another tale for another day.

Goes without saying, the album... :o

If you really want to cringe - have a look on youtube.

I saw an interview in which he said that they originally wanted him to play John Lilburne. I think he made a better Sexby . . . . sigh :o

I'm sooo very glad John chose to go after the role of Sexby. He has good instincts, our boy. (And other good stuff as well. LOL)

Yes smallhobbit,very much surprised! :D

I love John Lilburne, and his character was very well developed by Tom Goodman-Hill. Can he help that John's Sexby was so very extraordinary? :-*
