Oh I'm with you on the long hair forester! I don't know whether it's connected to me loving the look of guys in rock bands back in the seventies. Think Greg Lake, Bryan Downey................... :o

. . . and Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy). :o

I have to say that it was the initial shot of John riding over the hill at the beginning of TDW that hooked me and, at the time, I had no idea who was hiding under the hair and beard. . . . it was just the whole picture . . . sigh . . . . . . . .

This is a fine debate :). Most agree that they love John's look :-*, and we get different permutations...

For period drama, like TDW and C&P, the long hair, bearded, unkempt look is appropriate.

I still maintain clean shaven, short hair is my preference for everyday.

Tell you what - deliver him to me everyday for a month and I'll rate each day on sexiness and hairyness - I'll even draw you a graph with my findings :D :D :D

As long as said stubble doesn't get in one's eye...

Fastforward to 3:43 for some stubble insight...

Rugged is lovely - I don't think you can improve on Sexby. Clean shaven is good too. How did your research go jinxed?

Well I'm submitting my findings as part of my Degree in 'Stubble Rash and it's Effect on Fangirls' - it's amazing what you can do in further education these days. I'm hoping to follow up with a Masters :D :D

Anyway...
Day 1 - smooth as a baby's bottom - lickable :P
Days 2-5 - bit prickly but manageable ;D
Days 6-10 - getting smoother but only in a downwards direction (not a problem ;D)
Days 11-20 - finding foodstuffs is a little off-putting

Conclusions - you guessed it - anyway is fine by me :D

For me it has to be to be the clean shaven look. I just think that it suits John more. However I didn't mind the bit of stubble that he had when he played Cal McCaffrey though.
