It also (in smaller print) indicates that it's an Associate College of Lancaster University. I would interpret that as a place you possibly take your prerequisites for a Bachelors... at 18-18 or adult.

Hmmmm. So you think it's misleading...yeah, I see that. Still, thought it very admirable for John to do the advert for them.

Agreed. There's really nothing that can be said. Just poignant.

Yes... brings a lump to your throat, doesn't it? My son is studying Sebastian Faulks' 'Birdsong' as part of his English lit course.... I've sent him the link to this.

Finally - a clip from the football documentary JS did a few years ago. I'm not mentioning the title, because I'm a bit superstitious about search engines and deleted youtube vids... (the title shows in the youtube window, though)

I love this clip - it's fun to hear JS narrate in his own accent as opposed to the usual RP!

Is that the guy who plays Max in Eastenders at the end of that advert?

Both my hubby and I actually remember that advert! Who'd have thought..... ;D ;D

Edit: the scariest part of it is, he hardly looks much older than my 17 year-old son.... ???

master83 I believe it is Max Branning from Eastenders (with loads more hair) at the end! *whoopsies, admitted publicly I tune into Eastenders now and again! :D*

Moving On Spoiler Alert: Don't think it will ruin the story as presented in the blurbs published already - this is just in case you don't want to view any extracts at all.
