You open your box set of 'Rumpole of the Bailey' (which you bought as a Xmas pressie from you OH to you so that you'd get something you really wanted for Xmas) and go straight to the last series and watch the episode with a very young John Simm in it first because he's the real reason you wanted the box set although of course you assure everyone that you actually really like the show as well... Which actually is true but you almost certainly wouldn't have bought the box set if John hadn't been in it!

Same here. No surprise here, that the boxed set, the greatest motivation to purchase was because of the cutest little ASBO featured as one of Rumpole's clients!!.
Now you have to let the family actually see you enjoying the other DVDs. Which, as I recall from the original broadcast, are rather good!

you watch the whole of the first series of the Lakes on a friday night and then go on to watch episodes 2 and 3 of series 2 of Life On Mars.

you realise that it is exactly five years ago today since Life on Mars was aired for te very first time (still have the Radio Times with it in ) and plan to watch episode one series one at 9pm tonight.
Also planning on re-watching an episide of Life on Mars each sunday night at 9pm until the first series is complete. Anyone care to join me?

I'm just over half-way through another re-watch myself. But I'll jump at the chance to discuss LoM on here. Any excuse to watch any episode at any time! Yes, indeed please start a thread for discussion. I can't guarantee that I'll always comment at the time but will do my best!
